About the event

This year’s program includes a number of films that address racism and make it clear this issue is not isolated to particular regions of the country. Through a discussion of Bad Axe, God’s Country and The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks, we can chart how national movements of white supremacy and xenophobia have fanned the flames of racism in northern communities–flames that are all the harder to put out because many deny the fire exists.
